The sampling survey to the 68,000 rural households in the nationwide 31 provinces(regions or municipalities directly under the central government), implemented by the National Bureau of Statistics, demonstrated that in the first quarter of this year the per capital cash income of farmers was 967 yuan, eliminating the price influence, a real rise of 11.9% which was 2.7 percentage points higher in the year-on-year rise.
1. The income from wage rose steadily. The per capita income from wages of farmers was 382 yuan, a year-on-year rise of 13.5%. Especially, the per capita wage income from local enterprises was 110 yuan, up 16.5%; the per capita wage income from laboring in local town¡¯s enterprises was 69 yuan, up 26%; that from laboring outside the permanent residency was 136 yuan, up 13.7%.
2. The cash income from management in the primary industry rose dramatically. The per capita cash income from production and operation in the primary industry reached 386 yuan, a year-on-year rise of 20.1%. Among all types of cash income, the per capita cash income from selling agricultural products was 378 yuan, up 20%; that from services for agriculture was 8 yuan, up 28.5%.
Among the cash income from selling agricultural products, the per capita cash income from selling farming products was 196 yuan, a year-on-year rise of 14.2%; that from selling forestry products was 9 yuan, up 20.3%; that from selling animal husbandry products was 157 yuan, up 27.9%; that from selling fishery products was 16 yuan, up 21.5%.
3. The cash income from operation in the secondary and tertiary industries climbed with an increasing growth rate. The per capita cash income of farm households from management in the secondary and tertiary industries was 131 yuan, a year-on-year rise of 9.2%. Specifically speaking, the per capita cash income from industry was 28 yuan, up 4.9%; that from construction was 15 yuan, keeping the same level with the same period of last year; that from the tertiary industry was 88 yuan, up 13.5%.
4. The income from property and transfer increased. The per capita cash income of farmers from property was 28 yuan, a year-on-year rise of 12%; that from transfer was 40 yuan, up 21.4%. The cash income increase from property and transfer was mainly due to the rise of bonus stock and dividend distributed by the collectives.
5. The burden of taxes and fees declined to a great extent. The per capita burden of taxes and fees on farmers was 3.1 yuan, a year-on-year decline of 31.5%, of which, the agricultural taxes was 0.6 yuan, down 72.8%.
