Income and Expenditure of Urban Residents in the First half of This Year Ascended Faster.

    Based on the sample survey to the 54500 urban households in the urban area nationwide, in the first half of this year, the per capita disposable income of urban residents was 5374 yuan, a year-on-year rise of 11.6%, deducting the price element, a real rise of 9.5% which was 0.8 percentage point higher over the same period of last year. The per capita consumption expenditure was 3865 yuan, a year-on-year rise of 10.9%, deducting the price element, a real rise of 8.9%, which was 0.2 percentage point higher over the same period of last year.

    Among the income of urban households, the per capita salary income was 3979 yuan, a year-on-year rise of 8.9%; the per capita net income from management was 343 yuan, up 37.8%; the per capita income from transfer was 1347 yuan, up 15.6%; the per capita income from property was 101 yuan, up 16%.

    Among the consumption expenditure of urban households, the expenditure for foods rose 8.7%, of which, the expenditures for meat, poultry, egg and aquatic products, food services, grain and oils and vegetables climbed 11.7%, 15.1%, 4.6% and 4.4% respectively; that for clothes was up 15.9%; that for home appliances and services rose 8.2%, that for medical treatment and health care rose 15.3%; that for transport and communications ascended 17.7%, of which, the expenditure for transport went up 30.9%, that for communications rose 6.6%; that for education, culture, recreation and services rose 6.2%; that for housing went up 9%; that for miscellaneous commodities and services rose 15.1%.
