In November, the total retail sales of social consumer goods reached 4,104.3 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 3.9 percent; the growth rate was 9.0 percent higher than that in November 2019, and the average growth rate in the two years was 4.4 percent. Among them, the retail sales of consumer goods other than automobiles reached 3,726.6 billion yuan, an increase of 5.4 percent. Excluding price factors, the total retail sales of social consumer goods in November actually increased by 0.5 percent year-on-year. On a month on month basis, the total retail sales of social consumer goods increased by 0.22 percent in November.
From January to November, the total retail sales of social consumer goods reached 39,955.4 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13.7 percent, an increase of 8.2 percent over January to November 2019. Among them, the retail sales of consumer goods other than automobiles reached 36,033.9 billion yuan, an increase of 14.0 percent.
According to the location of business units, in November, the retail sales of urban consumer goods reached 3,533.7 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 3.7 percent; the retail sales of rural consumer goods reached 570.6 billion yuan, an increase of 4.8 percent. From January to November, the retail sales of urban consumer goods reached 34,631.6 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13.8 percent; and the retail sales of rural consumer goods reached 5,323.9 billion yuan, an increase of 13.3 percent.
By consumption type, in November, the retail sales of goods reached 3,620 billion yuan, an increase of 4.8 percent year-on-year; catering revenue was 484.3 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 2.7 percent. From January to November, the retail sales of commodities reached 35,750.1 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12.8 percent; and catering revenue was 4,205.4 billion yuan, an increase of 21.6 percent.
From January to November, the national online retail sales reached 11,874.9 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 15.4 percent. Among them, the online retail sales of physical goods reached 9,805.6 billion yuan, an increase of 13.2 percent, accounting for 24.5 percent of the total retail sales of social consumer goods; Among the online retail sales of physical goods, food, clothing and consumer goods increased by 18.8, 11.1 and 13.1 percent respectively.
