​From January to October, the national fixed asset investment (excluding rural households) was 44,582.3 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.1 percent; it was 7.8 percent higher than that from January to October 2019, with an average growth of 3.8 percent in the two years. Among them, the private fixed asset investment was 25,446.2 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 8.5 percent. On a month-on-month basis, fixed asset investment (excluding rural households) increased by 0.15 percent in October.

By industry, the investment in the primary industry was 1,164.6 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 11.1 percent; the investment in the secondary industry was 13,517.3 billion yuan, an increase of 11.3 percent; and the investment in the tertiary industry was 29,900.4 billion yuan, an increase of 3.7 percent.

In the secondary industry, industrial investment increased by 11.4 percent year-on-year. Among them, the investment in mining industry increased by 5.0 percent, the investment in manufacturing industry increased by 14.2 percent, and the investment in power, heat, gas and water production and supply industry increased by 0.4 percent.

In the tertiary industry, infrastructure investment (excluding power, heat, gas and water production and supply) increased by 1.0 percent year-on-year. Among them, investment in water conservancy management increased by 3.4 percent, investment in public facilities management decreased by 0.8 percent, investment in road transportation decreased by 0.2 percent, and investment in railway transportation decreased by 3.5 percent.

In terms of regions, the investment in the eastern region increased by 7.1 percent year-on-year, the investment in the central region increased by 12.0 percent, the investment in the western region increased by 4.5 percent, and the investment in the northeast region increased by 6.8 percent.

According to the types of registration, the investment of domestic enterprises increased by 5.9 percent, that of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan enterprises increased by 15.7 percent and that of foreign enterprises increased by 1.9 percent.
