From January to July, the national fixed asset investment (excluding rural households) was 30,253.3 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.3 percent; it was 8.7 percent higher than that from January to July 2019, with an average growth of 4.3 percent in the two years. Among them, the private fixed asset investment was 17,347.3 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13.4 percent. On a month-on-month basis, investment in fixed assets (excluding rural households) increased by 0.18 percent in July.
By industry, the investment in the primary industry was 789 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 21.8 percent; the investment in the secondary industry was 9,156.5 billion yuan, an increase of 14.4 percent; and the investment in the tertiary industry was 20,307.8 billion yuan, an increase of 8.2 percent.
In the secondary industry, industrial investment increased by 14.4 percent year-on-year. Among them, the investment in mining industry increased by 8.9 percent; manufacturing investment increased by 17.3 percent; and the investment in the production and supply of electricity, heat, gas and water increased by 1.7 percent.
In the tertiary industry, infrastructure investment (excluding power, heat, gas and water production and supply) increased by 4.6 percent year-on-year. Among them, the investment in water conservancy management industry increased by 6.9 percent; investment in public facilities management increased by 2.8 percent; investment in road transportation increased by 4.4 percent; and investment in railway transportation decreased by 4.4 percent.
By region, the investment in the eastern region increased by 9.4 percent year-on-year; investment in the central region increased by 18.9 percent; investment in the western region increased by 8.7 percent; and investment in northeast China increased by 9.6 percent.
According to the types of registration, the investment of domestic enterprises increased by 10.2 percent year-on-year; the investment of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan enterprises increased by 17.2 percent; and the investment of foreign enterprises increased by 8.4 percent.
